Data also show the advance of vehicle sales and increased exports
With the improvement in the economic environment, the automotive industry has once again raised vehicle production. In July, vehicle manufacturing grew 17.9% compared to the same period last year. The data were disclosed by Anfavea, an entity that represents the automotive sector.
In the month, 224,800 vehicles were manufactured, 5.9% higher than the one produced in June, when 212,300 automobiles were manufactured.
The increase in production also generated positive results in the sale of automobiles. In July, the automotive sector registered the licensing of 184.8 thousand vehicles, a value 1.9% higher than that computed in the same period of 2016.
With this performance, the automobile sector started to export more. According to the survey, the sale of vehicles to other countries registered a 42.5% increase, and in the accumulated of the year, automobile exports grew 55.3%, from 283.1 thousand to 439.6 thousand units sold.
