Top operator sees appetite for private flying in Brazil

Lider Aviacao offers charter, ground handling and maintenance from key bases around Brazil. Its CEO Eduardo Vaz says that even though the country's economy is struggling, the appetite for private flying is clear.

Brazilian operator Lider Aviacao anticipates a busy year despite the fact that the country's economy is recovering at a slow rate. According to Focus Bulletin data released by the Brazilian Central Bank at the end of March, GDP is expected to grow by two per cent in 2019. “The second half of 2018 already showed signs of improvement, albeit gradually, in the executive aviation market,” states CEO Eduardo Vaz. “One example was the 21 per cent increase in the number of hours flown in aircraft charter services and the four per cent increase in ground handling services revenues, compared to 2017. This year we expect to grow again as investors return to Brazil and make use of executive aviation services.”

Lider Aviacao offers charter, ground handling and maintenance. “We have a complete infrastructure, with internationally recognised quality standards to assure business executives and their crew all the safety, agility and comfort during the stay of the aircraft in Brazil. In addition to our FBOs, we have a versatile fleet of more than 60 aircraft,” continues Vaz.

The company is certified by the FAA for aircraft maintenance. At the beginning of the year, it became the first Brazilian aircraft charter company to achieve IS-BAO Stage III. This final stage certifies the quality and safety of executive aviation companies, as well as operation standardisation.

Lider Aviacao also operates more than 20 FBOs in Brazil, with a presence in the country's principal airports. They are staffed by a bilingual team working 24/7, trained to perform high quality services for aircraft, passengers and crew.
