Changes will adapt the production of dairy, eggs and honey without giving up hygiene and sanitary parameters

The Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply published on Wednesday (15), the Normative Instruction that stimulates the creation and formalization of family agroindustries. The rules governing the production of dairy, eggs and honey common to medium and large producers have now been relaxed to enable small businesses.

Signed by Minister Blairo Maggi, the Normative Instruction is aimed at establishments up to 250 square meters. With the change the requirements of equipment and facilities for these small agroindustries are adapted without giving up hygienic and sanitary parameters, preserving food safety and public health.

"The measure is for the almost artisanal industry, made up of thousands of producers, who only needed the opportunity to grow," said the minister.

Examples of adequacy are the dispensing, in specific situations, of equipment such as plate cooler, storage tank and rapid pasteurisation equipment. In the case of the use of milk originated only from the own production, the laboratory is also dispensed. The premises can also be attached to the residence, as long as they have independent access and do not need to have a seat for the Inspection Service.
