Petrobras reduces gasoline price by 2%

Fuel

With a policy of periodic adjustments, the state makes a new cut in fuel. Price changes at refineries as of Tuesday (11)

For the third consecutive time in a week, Petrobras announced a new cut in the price of two fuels. As of this Tuesday (11), the diesel will be 1.7% cheaper in refineries, and gasoline, 2%. The information is on the company's website.

Since the beginning of July, the state-owned company has begun a new format of readjustments, almost daily. This was the fifth price adjustment since this new policy began. The transfer to the consumer, however, depends on the positions.

On July 1, when this new strategy came into force, gasoline had been cut by 5.9%, and diesel by 4.8%. In the last adjustment, which occurred on Saturday (8), Petrobras reduced the price of diesel by 0.2% and gasoline by 0.7%.

The company did not inform the reason for the readjustment. This new policy of periodic readjustments, according to Petrobras, seeks a greater parity with the international market.
