Ministry of Economy participates in G20 Finance in Japan

International Affairs

Global economic issues and the international financial system will be discussed in June

The G20 Meeting of Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors in Fukuoka, Japan, will take place on 8 and 9 June (Saturday and Sunday).

The Ministry of Economy will be represented by the Secretary of International Economic Affairs, Erivaldo Alfredo Gomes, and by the Undersecretary of International Finance and Economic Cooperation, Marco Aurélio Rocha, at the forum, which brings together the 20 largest economies on the planet. The Central Bank represents the president Roberto Campos Neto and the director of International Affairs and Corporate Risks, Tiago Berriel.

At the occasion, we will discuss global economic issues and reinvigorate international policies that lead to the stable and sustainable growth of the economy.

The issues at stake will be divided into seven major themes: development finance; global economy; international taxation; global imbalances; aging and economic implications; quality investment in infrastructure; and challenges of the financial sector.

The meeting of ministers precedes the G20 summit with the participation of the leaders of these economies, to be held in Osaka, Japan, on June 28-29. For more information, visit the G20 website: https://g20.org/en/
