Getulio Vargas Foundation survey points to recovery of the confidence of industrial entrepreneurs

With the improvement of the economic environment, industry entrepreneurs are more confident in the country's economic scenario. In September, the Industry Confidence Index ( ICI ) of the Getulio Vargas Foundation advanced 0.6 points from the previous month and reached 92.8 points. This is the highest level for the indicator since April 2014, when confidence reached 97 points.

"The signs have been consistent: there is continuous improvement of the present-day assessments and most of the research indicators left behind the extremely low levels they were in during the recessive period," says research coordinator Tabi Thuler Santos.

In the month, the rise in confidence occurred in eight of the 19 industrial segments and reached both expectations and perceptions about the current situation.

The Expectations Index (IE) advanced 0.5 points to 94.9 points, while the indicator that measures the current situation of industrial entrepreneurs rose 0.6 points to 90.6 points.
