Firjan honors Bolsonaro with Medal of Industrial Merit

Award is given annually to prominent entrepreneurs and personalities who contribute to the industry

The President of the Republic, Jair Bolsonaro, received on Monday (20) the Medal of Industrial Merit of Rio de Janeiro, for the incentive to the sector. The homage occurred in the city of Rio de Janeiro, in commemoration of the Industry Day, celebrated on May 25.

In the event, the president said that the role of municipal, state and federal governments should be to not disturb the work of entrepreneurs, looking for ways to reduce bureaucracy to regulate entrepreneurial activities and to dismiss them. "[I have] a huge desire to put Brazil in the place it deserves and, much of that dream, of that goal, passes through the lords, entrepreneurs. The less we interfere, the greater the development, "he said.

According to Bolsonaro, job creation is directly related to the drop in violence rates. As an example, the president cited the state of Rio de Janeiro, where new forms of entrepreneurship could generate income and reduce violence. "We want to marry environment and development, the bay of Angra may be our Cancun," he suggested.

Tribute

Created in 1965, the medal is given annually to entrepreneurs who stand out in the industry and to personalities who work for its development. President Bolsonaro received the medal from the president of Firjan,  Eduardo Eugênio Gouveia Vieira.
