FGTS Digital begins to be implemented by the government

New system will make it possible to improve services, reduce losses and increase gains from the Fund.

Inspection of the payment of the Employee Time Guarantee Fund (FGTS) due by employers will become more comprehensive by the fiscal audit of the Ministry of Economy. The Fund's Board of Trustees approved, at its last extraordinary meeting on Tuesday (27/8), a budget of R $ 10 million for the development of the FGTS Digital system, a platform to streamline the collection, verification, launch and collection processes.

The new system, which should start operating next year, will focus on reducing bureaucracy, transparency and information integration, seeking to improve the quality of service delivery, combat dropout, reduce losses and increase gains.

It is expected that the new platform will allow virtual monitoring of contributions by companies through the digital system of labor and social security information under development by the federal government.

With the issue of  MP No. 889/19 , the inclusion of information in the payroll is performed by the employer in digital system, allowing change and visualization of the information entered before the closing of the sheet.

With this, the inspection will have access to payroll information, calculation basis of the obligation to pay FGTS and Social Contribution, allowing to immediately notify companies that do not comply with their obligations.

The system will have a tool for issuing and customizing payrolls, which will be born individually, identifying how much is due to each employee.

With the current non-digital system, the inspection teams recovered last year $ 5.2 billion that should have been collected. The result is 23.6% higher than 2017, when R $ 4.23 billion were recovered. The expectation now, with the new system, is that about R $ 16 billion in default will be added to the fund's collection.

The use of the platform's integrated tools will also provide for cost reduction of tax action and more effective results in verifying compliance with standards or in launching and enforcing FGTS credits and severance pay.

Through the digital system, an electronic labor domicile will be created, with several features aimed at employers, such as voice mail services (electronic communication), the possibility of adhering to electronic debt installment payments, requesting refunds, compensation and issuance of guides. FGTS payment.

Workers will be able to verify the statements of deposits made in their linked accounts through an application integrated into the system - the Digital Work Portfolio -, which will also allow the verification of amounts due as compensation, calculation basis contributions to the FGTS.
