Federal government makes land regularization possible in Tocantins

Ministry of Economy delivered 191 definitive titles of land ownership in an area ceded to the municipality of Porto Nacional

The federal government handed over 191 land titles to residents of Porto Nacional, in the state of Tocantins, last week. The joint secretary of the Secretariat of Coordination and Governance of the Patrimony of the Union of the Ministry of Economy (SPU / ME), Mauro Santana, participated in the solemnity of delivery, held jointly with the Superintendence of Patrimony of the Union in the state and the local city. 

The definitive titles already registered in a notary's office are related to the land regularization of Bairro Jardim Querido. The site is part of the total area of ​​145,702 m², ceded by the Union to the Municipality, in 2018. 

During the ceremony last night (11/7), Secretary Mauro Santana highlighted the role of Union Patrimony in the process regularization of housing.

"It is relevant for the SPU to contribute to the community, as we are talking about a public policy that brings dignity to the beneficiaries and guarantees a constitutionally protected right," he said. 

Also, the superintendent in Tocantins, Lúcio Alfenas, spoke about the importance of participating in the consolidation of the degree from the partnership between the city and SPU in the state. "We are seeing, together with Mayor Joaquim Maia, the great expectations of the resident families, who had long dreamed of winning the definitive title," he said.
