Defined calendar of payment of salary bonus base year 2018


Withdrawal begins on July 25; It is estimated that R $ 19.3 billion will be allocated to 23.6 million workers

The calendar of the 2018 base year salary bonus was defined by the Deliberative Council of the Workers' Assistance Fund (Codefat) on Wednesday (10). The measure was approved ad referendum, through Resolution No. 834, of July 9, 2019 . The estimate is that R $ 19.3 billion will be allocated to 23.6 million workers. The salary payment for the 2019/2020 salary period will begin on July 25, 2019.

For the private sector workers, linked to the Social Integration Program (PIS), it is considered the month of birth. For public employees, associated with the Program for the Formation of Public Server Assets (Pasep), the final digit of the Pasep registration number is valid.

Workers who were born between July and December receive PIS later this year. Those born between January and June will have the resource available for withdrawal in 2020. Public servants with the final digit of enrollment of Pasep of 0 and 4 also receive this year. Already the entries with the final between 5 and 9, next year. The closing of the payment calendar for the 2019/2020 financial year will be on July 30, 2020.

The payment of the salary payment related to PIS will be made by Caixa Econômica Federal in its branches located throughout the country; and the payment related to Pasep will be paid at Banco do Brasil branches.

Who receives

To qualify for the PIS / Pasep salary bonus, it is necessary to have worked formally for at least 30 days in 2018, with an average remuneration of up to two minimum wages.

In addition, the employee must be enrolled in the PIS / Pasep for at least five years and have had their data correctly informed by the employer in the Annual Social Information Report (Rais). 

For workers who have the data declared in Rais 2018 out of date and delivered until September 25, 2019, payment will be available as of November 4, 2019, according to the approved payment calendar, and after this time only in the following calendar.

Workers who have the data of the last five years corrected and declared by the employers in the Rais will also have their payment released according to the regular schedule. However, corrections forwarded by employers as of June 12, 2020 will have the corresponding resources released only on the next calendar.

The amount that each worker has to receive is proportional to the number of months worked formally in 2018. The amount of the salary bonus will be calculated in the ratio 1/12 of the minimum wage in effect on the date of payment.
