For business entities, labor modernization will improve business environment

Legislation

In the evaluation of the organizations, new legislation will bring legal security and will stimulate competitiveness, which will help the country to overcome the recession

The Consolidation of the Labor Laws (CLT), starting this Saturday (11), by "the biggest change since 1943", when it was created, exalted the Federation of Industries of the State of Rio de Janeiro (Firjan), in a note on the new labor law. Created when Brazil began the process of industrialization, the legislation was no longer suited to the service economy and the digital age that Brazil has today, Firjan stressed. "After more than seven decades, Brazil is alongside other countries with safe but flexible labor laws," he said.

In a statement, the president of the Federation of Industries of the State of São Paulo (Fiesp), Paulo Skaff, said that modernization is a "victory of society and Brazil" and will provide the creation of new jobs, "with legal security for all" .

Already for the National Confederation of Industry (CNI), the law n. 13467/17 represents "the desired progress in building modern labor relations and aligned with the economy of the 21st century." The CNII also stressed that the new law "privileges dialogue and values negotiation over judicial conflict" and that the sustained growth of the economy depends on advances in several pillars of the country's competitiveness.
