In March, buyers of meat from the country suspended trade after the Federal Police pointed out irregularities in refrigerators

Brazil has already been able to recover from the losses caused by Operation Meat Loaf, which was set off by the Federal Police in March this year . The assessment is by the Minister of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply, Blairo Maggi, who spoke on Tuesday (31) in the Chamber of Deputies.

At the time, markets, such as Hong Kong, stopped buying meats from Brazil. However, Maggi pointed out that of the country's 93 commercial partners, only four maintain the embargo on Brazilian beef. In all, 56 countries still have a strengthened inspection.

The minister also highlighted the changes proposed by the pulp to ensure product quality. The political appointments of servers to superintendencies, for example, were extinguished. This is because the operation pointed out the involvement of 33 employees in the case of corruption.

In 2016 alone, 853,000 animal products were exported to more than 150 countries. The sector is one of the main in the country and employs more than 6 million people.
