Financial institutions have lowered rates for loans and overdrafts. At Banco do Brasil, there was also a reduction in real estate credit
After the Monetary Policy Committee (Copom) reduced the Selic rate to 11.25% a year , the major banks also decided to lower interest rates charged on loans to individuals and corporations.
In Banco do Brasil, the most significant drop was for real estate credit lines in the hiring of the Housing Finance System and the mortgage portfolio.
The new rate for operations under the SFH will now be 9.99% per year in the minimum range, a reduction of 0.81 percentage points compared to the 10.80% practiced today. For the upper band, the new rate will be 10.94% per annum, compared to 11% per year that the Bank charged up to now.
Itaú announced that it will fully pass on the Selic cut to all customers. The reduction becomes effective as of April 18 and will reach customers who use personal credit and overdraft.
In Bradesco, the minimum rate charged on overdrafts was reduced from 9.65% to 9.57% per month, while the maximum rate fell from 13.49% to 13.41% per month. The personal loan had its minimum rate reduced from 1.89% to 1.83% per month, and the maximum from 7.72% to 7.66% per month. On the other hand, the modality Credfácil Veículo, destined to the purchase of vehicles and having as its own guarantee, had its maximum rate reduced from 5.92% to 5.86% per month.
At Santander, customers will have the minimum personal credit rate reduced from 1.99% to 1.89% per month, while the maximum rate will decrease from 7.99% to 7.89% per month. The maximum interest rate for vehicle financing will be reduced from 2.79% to 2.69% per month.
